Did your steering column go to hell when the front-end shook itself to death?

Well maybe it's time to redesign it? Rule Numbers 20 and 40 comes to mind here. I pretty much knew what I needed to do, and if I would have only began the shaping of the nylon for a 3/4" slab. I wouldn't have been up until five in the morning.)

See the deal is that the inner tube that controls the gear selector has a flaring. I had to cut an opening just so I could fit and slide the three piece bushing around.
     Thinking prior to the cutting; I drilled a couple holes at 1/3rds an slightly bigger than 5/16. I figured that some day I'll be able to slide a piece of sheet metal in and tighten up with a couple bolts. (But just clamping before the spot welds has everything tight for now. Update: I've had to pull it out and I shoved one piece of sheetmetal under one of the bolts and it tightened everything up again.)
    I'm actually thinking of making a floor shift, because sifting the automatic manually is always going to be putting more ware and tear on it than it was intended for. And from what I gather, a manual steering column from up to a 2002 model would be my best bet. Hopefully none tilt.

Helpful Hint: whenever working around car battery's and their connections, don't ware any metallic rings - because if you create abridge to a body or engine block with your ring -  they can turn red hot in a split second. There is nothing like the agony of trying to pull a ring off while it is melting you skin

On August 19th '07 I checked the listing of my patent application at the CIPO and discovered that it was granted on August 7th.

That equals to about another 30 million.

Pretty Cool I'd say.

Beats collecting stamps.
